We give to MFS because... The Hodian Stark Family - Moorestown, NJ
Laurie Hodian and Ira Stark are members of Moorestown Meeting and active supporters of MFS. Laurie, who is an attorney with a background in social work, is the Director of Administration for the State of New Jersey Department of Children and Families. She is a trustee of the school and clerks the board’s Governance Committee. Ira is both a radiologist at Hahnemann University Hospital and an artist, who has donated his paintings to benefit MFS. They are the parents of Alexandra ‘06 who is at Wellesley College, and senior Justin. “MFS has given our children so much more than we ever expected. The
comprehensive and unique education with its emphasis on critical thinking,
rather than rote learning, and Quaker values of community, equality,
and integrity has played a transformational role in their lives as
well our own. MFS
has helped our children become compassionate, thoughtful learners,
who no doubt will not only do well, but do good. “The education that MFS has provided both of our children is invaluable. We
